Dear Steven,
Kevin W. Woodruff - a new book by Dr. James D. Price, a former faculty member of Tennessee Temple University and Temple Baptist Seminary, has been published on the KJV.

And it should be mentioned clearly that Dr. Price is involved with the
competing
NKJV translation. As the 'Old Testament Editor' (presumably a paid position,
definitely one of scholarly status).

HH: Thank you, but it seems somewhat naive to suppose that Dr. Price might be writing his new book on the KJV-only crowd to protect or increase his income from his work as the Old Testament editor for the New King James Version. It is derogatory to suggest that he wants to diminish the legitimate honor of the King James Version in any way. He was no doubt chosen for his responsibility on the NKJV because of his long and proven career, from which he already had a good income. Here is further information about Dr. Price:

James D. Price is the academic dean and professor of Hebrew and Old Testament at Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he has taught since 1972. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, with 25 years experience in that profession, serving as a senior research engineer for Franklin Institute Research Laboratories in Philadelphia before moving to TBS. He has an M.Div. from Northwest Baptist Theological Seminary in Tacoma, Washington (formerly Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary), and a Ph.D. in Hebrew and Biblical Literature from Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Languages in Philadelphia. He has formally studied over seven languages and dialects. His thesis topic was "The Theoretical Basis for Machine Aids for Translating from Hebrew to English."

Dr. Price has taught Bible and related subjects at the graduate level for 33 years and has traveled on teaching missions to Germany and the Ukraine. In addition, he teaches a Sunday School class and serves as an usher in Highland Park Baptist Church.

He is a member of numerous honor societies and professional organizations:
