"The article discusses the Hebrew words transcribed into Greek in
the exaplary column of Theodotion (Ez. & Dan.). A mini-phonology
based on one-hundred of the transcribed words in these two biblical
books is compiled. In synthesis, aspects of the problem already
known from other sources are underlined and the difficulty in the
choice of a method that permits a uniform reading of the data is
shown. According to the author, it is of capital importance to
establish with exactness the pronunciation of the Greek,
particularly in the Hellenistic period, before facing the theme of
the transcriptions".
