Now hold on- you just scourged me for mentioning the New Testament....

not sure about LXX without checking. And in Greek a neuter plural noun would be referenced with a neuter plural pronoun, without implying true plurality. So this is probably an issue in the Greek rather than the Hebrew.

Isn't this a Hebrew forum and as such, sticking strictly to the rules, isn't greek, even LXX greek out of bounds?

A fair point, Jim.

First, I didn't scourge you for mentioning the New Testament, but rather for starting a new thread about a New Testament only issue, with only a tenuous relevance to the thread it was based on.

In this case, I was answering Hayyim's question about the Hebrew text, and his suggestion that the LXX reflected a different Vorlage, by clarifying his understanding of Greek. I mentioned the New Testament only as a qualification to my knowledge of Greek.
