Dear Vadim,

My statements have been coming straight out of authoritative grammars and lexicons. The same form can mean two different things, so Genesis 1:4 does not prove anything against what I'm saying.

Yours,
Harold Holmyard
Dear Harold,

You may want to review Genesis 1:4 to realize that this statement is incorrect.

2) The form )eT that appears twice in Isa 53:9 is the normal form for
the preposition "with" when it is preceded by a maqqeph. See
Brown-Driver-Briggs lexicon under the preposition )eT, where that is
the first fact given about the word.

Sincerely,

Vadim Cherny
