Regardless of the opinions many of you may have about Mel Gibson's film, what...
do you think about the Aramaic of the film? Does it reflect the Aramaic of
the 1st Century?
In an interview Mel Gibson said that no one speak Aramaic and that maybe the few that
know some Aramaic would understand only half of it. (In reference to the Aramaic in the
film) Who was the "scholar" behind the Aramaic in the film?
Frantz and others, a more appropriate place to discuss the specifically Aramaic questions might be the Yahoo Aramaic group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/aramaic/.
