It is interesting that the KADDISH was written in
Aramaic, and it was stated that the reason for this
was because you should pray this prayer in the
language that is understood. This yields to why many
congregations pray the KADDISH also in English as a
reminder of that fact. (At least, this is what my
rabbi stated. *wink*)

Can this lend at all to whether or not Aramaic was to
be understood more readily than Hebrew? If Hebrew were
more readily understood by the common person, then why
was the KADDISH (which must be understood!) penned in
Aramaic?
