They are akkadian terms, if I am correct. They are like Binyanim. G-Stem is
like Pa'al
(Grundstam)
I recommend the following site if yuo know nothing of Akkadian and want to
get into it.

G-Stem is Pa'al, and D-Stem is Pi'el. Basically
