no it doesnt. it comes from the roman world view of some early christians
(but most certainly not all- Paul for instance).

there it is!!!!! "typology"!!!!!! thats the beast whos head hides
underneath the covers of eisegesis in all its forms. if something can by
typologized it becomes fodder for the christian sermon. sadly, however, the
facts of history and exegesis rage against the one eyed beast; yet still it
is seen behind every thorn bush (even the buring bush is a reference to
christ isnt it...) Christ behind every act and thing of the OT. Christ is
the kipporoth. Christ is the angel meeting abraham. Christ is the child in
the wilderness...

And I thought L. Goppelt was dead. But he isnt! He still lives and
champions his typology crusade.

typological interpretation of the OT is nothing less than sheer eisegesis
which never allows the text to be heard. it is the crudest sort of muzzling
of the text in fact. summa summarum, typology is anti-biblical.
