Real Aramaic was spoken. As for the "writing on the wall" the scenes were
fleeting but I could make out a couple Aramaic words. I could not tell if
the entire composition was correct and will have to wait to look at the
stills. The script of the "writing on the wall," however, was not in a
1st century Aramaic square script as one would expect in an "Herodian"
hand, but was instead a Palaeo script that appears to be designed from
Moabite (c. 800 BCE)....sort of anachronistic to a "purported Aramaic
Gospel of Thomas."
