Well I am a Pentecostal. That is one step below a Charismatic ;)
or maybe a step above..anyways..in John 18:6 it is obvious that a
supernatural power "knocked them over". Personally, I don't like
the term "slain in the spirit", slain having the connotation of being
killed.

The reason I am here and in B-Greek is to learn more of the original
language syntax. 1 Kings 8:11 has been used by many to say,
they (the priests) fell down. One of the reasons they interpret it is
because of the word that is used for "glory"

In the Strongs: (which I understand isn't the best source for Hebrew
and Greek definitions sometimes )
3519. kabowd, kaw-bode'; rarely kabod, kaw-bode'; from H3513;
prop. weight; but only fig. in a good sense, splendor or
copiousness:--glorious (-ly), glory, honour (-able)

3513. kabad, kaw-bad'; or kabed, kaw-bade'; a prim. root; to be
heavy, i.e. in a bad sense (burdensome, severe, dull) or in a good
sense (numerous, rich, honorable); causat. to make weighty (in the
same two senses):--abounding with, more grievously afflict, boast,
be chargeable, X be dim, glorify, be (make) glorious (things), glory,
(very) great, be grievous, harden, be (make) heavy, be heavier, lay
heavily, (bring to, come to, do, get, be had in) honour (self), (be)
honourable (man), lade, X more be laid, make self many, nobles,
prevail, promote (to honour), be rich, be (go) sore, stop.

e definiton weight or heaviness has leaned many toward the
interpretation of being pressed or falling down.

I am certainly not saying that is a "proper" interpretation. More
comments from the well hebrew learned instead of people like me
that are hebrew challenged would be helpful concerning the relation
between the hebrew word for "glory" and "not being able to stand".

The yoke spoken of is a yoke of bondage. The entire chapter
brings about that context.

Rather or not that would "apply" to demonic bondage..is up for arm
wrestling :)
