{Dan}
Anyways.. the interpretation that a yoke {of
bondage} can be broken by fatness..? is that
viable?
{Bill}
I explored several alternative images here:
* the ox grows so fat that it breaks the yoke
* the yoke is destroyed by burning it - with oil as a fuel
* the oil is the baggage being carried and the weight breaks the yoke
* the heaviness of the baggage breaks the yoke
* the yoke joins Israel to Assyria, and Assyria turns away with such force,
while Israel, anointed by God with an oil of supernatural joy, stands firm,
or continues straight - causing the yoke to break off of Israel and be
carried by Assyria
* God will raise up an anointed servant, such as Gideon, who breaks the
control of Assyria
* prophetic of the elect in the last times, and referring to the Spirit as
empowering people who are under the yokes of various bondages, to,
Samson-like, break out
I have arrived at nothing conclusive at this point...
