I can see Lloyd's point, that Jesus = YHVH, because Isaiah had seen the
glory of YHVH, and John says that Isaiah had seen the glory of Jesus,
therefore...
But against Lloyd's point, I would argue that YHVH might be more likely
identified with the first person of the Trinity, because of the pervasive
"father" image throughout the text of the Tanakh.

Dear Andrew,
I do not find this issue to be exegetically difficult. How else can it be
interpreted? If I were better in the NT, perhaps I could show that other
communities or authors equated Yahweh with the Father. But here I think it
is clear that the gospel writer is identifying Jesus with Yahweh.
