Delitzsch is quite possibly right; but I prefer the NIV rendering
"... new [moons], Sabbaths and convocations-- I cannot bear your evil
assemblies."
Lo'-'uWKaL 1st pers imperfect Qal of YaKoL to be able, to endure; or
possibly Hophal (Delitzsch);
'eWeN same as 'aWeN, "[it is] evil";
Wa`a:+aRaH "also [your] solemn assembly".
Could 'eWeN be construct state, even though `a:TsaRaH has the prefixed Waw?
"Neither will I put up with the evil-of [your] solemn-assemblies".
:
There is a "pause" with Zaqeph Qaton over the final syllable of MiKRa',
so the Massoretes would disagree with Delitzsch's idea of making Lo'
'uWKaL refer back to the foregoing. After the Zaqeph Qaton, Lo' 'uWKaL
looks _forward_ to the Silluq and Soph Pasuq.
Just my one-fiftieth shekel (Anyone spare a dime? Even a paradigm!)
