Oil eating microbes die when the oil is gone. The oil, on the other

are now using toxic stuff that sinks it to the bottom of the ocean. I
guess out of sight, out of mind... The company I am most familiar
with uses only existing microbes, they are not GM at all.

Do they require an aerobic environment? The Gulf marshes are lacking in
water movement and oxygen and that is an important place where the
microbes would be needed. This situation could be positive for anaerobic
oil eating microbes; they could stay in place relatively undisturbed to
do their work. During storms the areas could be cleansed, flushing away
residues, leaving the marshes in near original condition, ideally.
