To the list,

After getting your identification of the Saturn as the "doughnut peach" I
decided to surf with a search engine and came up with a page of the Bay
Laurel Nursery in Atascadero, Calif.

Their catalog had two listings which had Saturn in the name, but they are
completely different varieties. I will copy and paste their descriptions:

DONUT ('Stark Saturn', a Saucer or Peento type) Unique white-fleshed,
freestone fruit with a sunken center--shaped like a doughnut. Sweet, with a
mild, almond-like flavor. Ripens late June/early July. 4-500 hrs.
Self-fruitful. Available on: Nema. $19.95 (#P634-43); Cit. $22.95 (#P634-46)

SATURN Fruiting and flowering variety. Large yellow freestone with juicy,
sweet, low-acid, fine-flavored flesh. Prolific bloom with spectacular,
large, double, dark pink blossoms. Ripens mid July. 250-300 hrs.
Self-fruitful. Available on: Cit. $20.95 (#P676-46)

There was a thread on this list recently about people getting mislabeled
plants from nurseries, but this sounds as if one who hadn't read the
catalog might innocently order a Saturn--as the doughnut peach was listed
on some of the links you sent--not realizing that the order should really
be for Stark Saturn.
