NO!!!!  Sky is all local and farms are inspected.  bUT, the bowling green farmers market, of which I was a member for over 10 years allows reselling, and many of the vendors are mostly reselling.   Watermelons from Florida, tomatoes from wherever, whenever, etc.  Guess why we helped to start the Sky Market 8 years ago!  It's awful to be a farmer selling what you grow with vendors who can buy anything anywhere anytime.

I'm curious - are you talking about the Southern Kentucky Regional
Market? I noticed they go way out of their way to say everything is
local. Are you saying they are not local?

I've seen markets fail to admit the truth but not seen one so
blatantly lie - if that is the case here.

And worse, I think, is that too many just don't care.  It's "called" a farmers market, so I can feel virtuous shopping there. Don't confuse me with "producer only" vs "resale". We have spent 8 years trying to get the word out, with no support from local government, and still, in a fairly small town, 'most' customers just don't "get it". But, we just have to keep trying.  We police ourselves, and would prefer that, at least for now.

People have the wrong idea about what a real farmers market is. So, getting the word out that our market is "all local, farmer grown & sold" is difficult.
