I have planted Aus Trees, they're some sort of hybrid willow, then I planted pines in back of them.  So far, so good.  VERY windy here in eastern CO.  They do need irrigation and love the water, so I water them rather frequently, but they have really gotten big in a hurry.

I need to bolster my shelterbelt and am wondering if anyone can recommend a type of fast growing tree that would give good protection from strong winds.  They'd be far enough back not to interfere with sunlight on the garden.  We're in Zone 4.  Thanks!
