We have used the following for poison ivy - works well but renders the soil unusable until the salt has dissipated
1 gallon cider vinegar to 1 pound salt. Spray on noxious weeds. 
also try just the vinegar.

Hi, Folks!

What are your top organic ways to clear out (and keep out) poison ivy that
don't involve goats?  (Not allowed livestock at the community garden! :-()

Thanks for the help -- I'm really trying to avoid the "paint with Roundup"
scene, but OTOH, the poison ivy is a health hazard to garden
visitors/volunteers/etc.
