We're in a dubious peach location here, too high elevation and too far north.
But one year in three or four we are buried in peaches. We've had two good
years in a row. This last year we had so many, the deer damaged many of the
trees robbing the peaches. Peach trees are very brittle.

Late frost is the most common demise. Then brown rot. Even in the best
years, the brown rot takes its toll. I've learned to feel up the peaches as
they
ripen and pick them just before they turn soft and thus I thwart SOME of the
brown rot.

We can and dehydrate and freeze some, but the main ploy is to eat peaches
until we slosh with them and dream about them the rest of the time.
