Mike,

I think we can only speculate on this question rather than give any real
evidence. Paul may be
claiming to have received it directly from Jesus. Remember, he does have a
few encounters with
Jesus in Acts, so it would not be inconceivable that he was claiming a direct
personal revelation
here. Alternatively, he could have gotten it from any number of people who
were either physically
present at the Last Supper, or who in turn received it from those who were
there.

In other words, Paul could be claiming first, second, third, fourth, or even
tenth hand knowledge
of what Jesus said that night. Maybe he had an early draft of Mark or Luke?
We can only speculate.
