root=/dev/hda1 (assuming hda1 is your Linux partition)

Ok, so I set
root=/dev/hda1 (that is my Linux partition)
and it didn't work. Same problem.
I'm going to copy down my lilo.conf here:

boot=/dev/hda
root=/dev/hda1
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
compact
prompt
timeout=100
image=/boot/zimage
label=BL3
root=CURRENT
read-write


So does that strike anyone as being off?
