I don't think I installed cxxlibs.tgz for SW71 in the first place - do I
need it for something? I am compiling C not C++ programs. (My partner is
stuck with C++, because he is taking a programming course, but I am just
compiling). Could I just uninstall the SW81 cxxlibs and replace the glibc
from 81 with that from 71?

You said in order to run Opera 7 I needed glibc-so and I think cxxlibs-so.
I don't think I needed cxxlibs for Opera 6. I suppose I can experiment to
see what works.
