How do you know?

If it is by cross referencing the Egyptian history, then you don’t know.

Cross referencing with the Egyptian “history” has pretty much messed up
royally most of ANE histories, because it has been used as the “gold
standard” against which all other histories were measured. But if the “gold
standard” is so messed up that it is not worth the paper it is written on,
then we need to go back to the drawing board to figure out all the other
histories as well. And that includes the Hurrians. They most likely were
still around in the eighth century BC.
