I'd have to check to make sure, but I suspect a few things contribute to
the larger 1.1:

1. jaxen is now bundled

that isn't going to clash with any other version of jaxen on the CP is it?

2. XOM does its own normalization handling instead of bundling ICU. XOM
1.0 + ICU (normalizer.jar) was bigger than you have now.
