In my opinion, XOM is a good risk. It's not going away. It works. API
changes will be minimal. XOM is so simple that it's been worth the effort to
learn and use it. Even in the unlikely event that I would have to go back
and do something with some other API upon XOM's demise, I wouldn't get sore
over it. And if something happens to The Man with Three First Names, let's
just hope he has named a XOM maintainer in his will, so the code doesn't
fork in too many directions.
