i'm preparing to add code to an in-house application to write and read xml
config files. this will be my first foray into java xml programming, and my
second use of xml. i've read through various parts of elharo's java xml
book online, dug about on google, etc. i've narrowed things down to xom &
jdom. i expect that the xml i'll be working with will be pretty simple --
no namespaces, limited audience, one producer, one consumer. i have three
weeks to get this done...
xom looks very appealing, but i'm a bit leery of committing myself to
something so new. do y'all think that xom is ready for production use? is
the API stable? is elharo committed to maintaining it for the next year?
is it buggy? will i be up the creek if elharo is hit by a bus? any
gotcha's i should know about?
so what's the word on the street?
thanks.
