Importance: High

Dear fellow trail enthusiasts,

I have been working on a trail ride for next year that is new, in that I
have always wanted to
learn more about the area geology from the back of a horse with a Geologist
on board.
In researching this, I have found a geologist that is currently mapping a
lot of the northern New Mexico area. Turns out he is available now, in
November, and if this ride turns out to be popular, he will return to offer
more areas.
I am asking you to reply to this email ASAP if any of you are interested.
The cost for the ride will be split among those who sign up, so the more we
get the cheaper it will be. His normal fee is $450
but has agreed to do it for $200. The available dates are Nov. 2nd and
Nov.16th, 2008, both are Sundays.
We will ride Copper Canyon in Abiquiu, and hear about how our beautiful and
colorful area came to be.
He has offered this area before as a geology hike through the Santa Fe
Community College, so he is
very familiar and knowledgeable about Copper Copper.
I hope we get a good turnout. I would lean towards the Nov. 2 ride as a
first choice, only so we have
the following date as a back-up for a weather event.
Please feel free to pass this email on to fellow equestrians who might be
interested in a
highly informative and educational ride.

I am currently working on a biology ride as well. This will be for spring
2009. If you have always wanted to learn about the plants and flowers of the
Southwest, here's your chance. I will send out
an email about the ride when I get more info.

Looking forward to your immediate response,

Debra Spickermann
