It may be because you still have GCC with "fixed includes". Some of these "includes" are a bunch of OpenSSL headers. Rebuild GCC answering 'n' to the fixed includes question, rebuild OpenSSL, then cast --fix, then apache/php. Make sure this is the case first, it's a lot of CPU cycles to stand by...

I symlinked libcrypto (I previously symlinked libssl, then wondered why it didn't work) and recast php and apache started. I also saved the output of "cast -n" so that I know which spells to recast - some of the broken spells want gal, which will break other spells that need gal2.
