Hi all,

I hope somebody can help me as I have lost all my sound! I am running a
2.4.20 kernel with a Sound Blaster Live (emu10k1). I was running alsa
(lib/driver/utils) v0.9.0rc2. With a recent update to 0.9.1 all my sound
stopped.

First; what is the difference between alsa-driver and alsa-driver-virmidi?
The latter is what gets installed which I never used before. I have tried
dispelling lib/driver/utils, casting alsa-driver, then casting lib/utils
but alsa-driver-virmidi still gets cast. I have also removed the provides
files from ad-virmidi and recasting. This gives me only alsa-driver/lib/utils
but still no sound :(

All of the modules *appear* to be loading correctly and I get no errors
from any apps. I have set the volume levels up in alsamixer (every time I
recast) and also tried setting them with aumix. And, yes, my speakers are
turned on ;-)

Has anyone else experienced anything similar - any pointers in the right
direction would be appreciated - logs on request etc ...

Thanks

Foxy
