Yeah I agree that leaving old libs in system indefinitely is really bad
idea. But leaving it in system when something requires it (especially if
that something can be bash or make) seems as much better way to go than
let the system break and see if user can fix it. Then cast --fix or some
new sorcery/cast parameter could recast spells which use older versions of
some libraries.

In fact as I think about it, cast --fix could check if the .so required by
a spell is deprecated and recast the spell if so, removing deprecated
library in the process.

To lace's concern about who is going to implement it, I'm willing to do it
as my lifetime (not much, but every little bit counts, eh?) experiences
show, if you want something implemented, do implement it yourself ;-)
I just want to get clearer vision how such solution should work before
trying it out ;-)
