Yes, it was bleeding with satire.

Perhaps we could take the blood from this "scribe", offer it for
"sacrifice" and gloriously "submit" it to those exhaulted "gurus" that
so greatly honour us with divulging to us the secrets catalogued in their
graceful tome known as the "grimoire."

P.S. I thought "submit" kinda fit originally. I really don't care
whatever way, though my romantic sensibilities lead me to liking
the "sacrifice" one.
