The idea of having the option to have cast rm the directory og a failed
compile directory has floated around. The main reason AFAIK for not
implementing this is a lack of time on the part of the developers.
Anoth idea that have been proposed are, adding TMPSIZE suggestions to spells,
which suggest to cast how much room they require to compile. This proposal;
however, is far more intrusive into the system and requires a substantial
amount of work on the part of maintainers.
Rest assured that we are aware of this issue, but mostly lack the time to
implements these changes. If it's a feature that you really really must have
and you can bash, talk to Nick about implementing something... The sorcery
team appreciates all the help they get.
