I missed the earlier thread, but scribbler works by creating symlinks to
spells in a particular *real* grimoire. Spells scribbler adds to your
personal grimoire can't really be modified independent of the grimoire
they point to.

As for allowing users to create their own grimoire from the iso, this
couldn't really be done with scribbler, but it might be possible to
do what you are suggesting through other means. The only advantage I see
to this is saving a very small amount of disk space. On the other hand,
you'll be significantly increasing what has to be done to update the
grimoire.

I could see including both test and stable grimoires on the iso and
allowing the user to choose which or both to use. If both were chosen,
then there might be some use for scribbler within the installer.
Anyway....just rambling now! :-)
