no, i didn't miss that point i have said it half a dozen differnet ways.
We are short on developers, we can't maintain 3 grimoires.
The old devel grimoire doesn't exist, what we should do now is rename test to
devel and devel to alpha.
And if not having access to devel/alpha bothers you then, take note of two
things.
1) the original draft of this restructure relied on the fact that cvs would
be
up and running for the last month and a half. Thus users if they really
wanted were able to access devel/alpha. It was never intended to start
developing behind closed doors.
2) cvs <-> perforce two way syncing isn't done yet, until it is we can't use
cvs for submissions. So why don't some of the less active and more vocal
people volunteer to help with this ?
So to summarise,
I am sick of "overlooking" the crucial point that cvs was supposed to be up
and running a month and a half ago.
I am officially passing the buck, what "I" said could be done has been done.
Test grimoire is awesome and less buggy that it has ever been before. Stable
is at most only one release behind test (except for stupid gcc). We have
worked our butts off to get to where we are now.
FFS if you want to get access to devel/alpha then stop blaming a system that
works and start actually helping with the cvs setup...
