Well, that's what we're trying to go for now, remove the 'cringing' from
updates in test and devel.
If you want state-of-the-art for some spells, you still can, along with
having 'stable' packages, either through test or stable. I'd recommend
using the test grimoire and checking out the spells you want up-to-date
and adding those to a separate grimoire.
Ex:
$ cvs checkout devel/video/MPlayer ~/latest/MPlayer
# scribe add devel
# vi /etc/sorcery/local/grimoire
GRIMOIRE_DIR[0]=/home/sandalle/latest/
GRIMOIRE_DIR[1]=/var/lib/sorcery/codex/test
Now, if it is not found in the 'latest' packages list, it will use the
more tested version. 'Course, we don't have our CVS repository up yet, so
you'll need to use Perforce until we do, but that's the general idea.
