I am looking into making a spell for a program called 'mtx' which is a tape library control program. But I see that there is already a spell called mtx.

Is it possible to change the name of that spell? There's several reasons I think it's better/easier to change that spell's name. First of all, while the source file for the spell is mtx$version, the binary that's installed is called 'prepmx', so prepmx might be a good spell name. Or perhaps M-Tx as a spell name since that seems to be the official name of the program.

Also, I would venture to guess that mtx the tape change software is probably more often used than M-Tx the music software. And there's not really any other good names I can think of for the spell that would be easily findable.

Hopefully I'm not out of line with this request, I'm not trying to suggest that M-Tx is any less important for sourcemage than mtx. :) I'm just not sure of how else to handle this.

And in general, perhaps we need some sort of policy regarding conflicting spell names?

Lemme know if you have any questions or perhaps suggestions on a better way to handle this.

Thanks,

Doubletwist
