This MENU_* entries are only really for user-land applications. Specifically
things that will be run from X (if they are console apps, and you want
them the have a menu entry, the MENU_EXEC should run them in an xterm or
something).

${SPELL} will work for most apps that only will have one entry.

Using ${SHORT} is generally a bit overkill. If you decide to use it, please
consider the fact that it will be used as a "blurb" about what the specific
entry is.

In the xzgv example, MENU_ITEM[0] is just 'xzgv' 'image viewer' is the
blurb. MENU_DESC[1] is 'image viewer (fullscreen)' and MENU_EXEC[1] is
'xzgv --fullscreen'

Does it make more sense now?
