I don't like it either but if it's what upstream is providing it's what we
need
to make the default. I'd file bugs upstream as eg how the heck are we distros
supposed to provide things like source integrity checking with this
distribution model. We can provide snapshots to users and ask if they want to
use them with notes that this provides better stability and security but those
have to be non-defaults; defaults need to match upstream's distribution model,
even if it's stupid.
