I really don't like that about the python pip stuff always bugging me
about newer versions available online … pushing users to install python
stacks where central ones are managed by other means and making it at
least irritating to reproduce builds without updating components along
the way.

But what I really want to say in the case of sorcery: Could we add that
marker to the grimoires instead? It's sensible for sorcery to suggest update
when the grimpoire brings the info that some updated spells depend on
fixes/enhancements in sorcery to work properly.

I do not want sorcery to phone home for update info when not asked to.
This is the kind of behaviour we're avoiding by using something obscure
like Source Mage.

Alrighty then,

Thomas
