Hi all,
Last time I started with smgl again (I did it in the past with pretty
old hw, and that was no way to go), I remember starting from an image
someone posted [1], not the CD, given the CD was pretty old.
However that image, afaik, didn't support multilib. When attempting
to enable gcc (options are there for such purpose), I never got gcc to
compile OK with multilib support ever, not even moving to later
versions.
Is there some sort of tutorial about how to migrate a non multilib
smgl box into a multilib one?
Unfortunately, the world is plagued with x86 binaries one still depend
on for a production box, and several only come on 32 bits versions.
Examples are multiple, like pipelight, wine (pure 64 bits version of
wine is pretty much useless according to wine itself, they recommend
both), icaclient (citrix), hpmyroom, juniper vpn (ncsvc), and so on...
I'd like to be able to use my smgl box for production as well, which
currently I can't. Rock solid stable is not the place for me btw,
even on production boxes, just in case you're wondering why smgl for
production box, :-).
Thanks in advance,
--
Javier
