I think your plan is sensible. I consider devel-xorg to be the current
test branch. The test branch is stable, sort of. The stable grimoire is
rotting.

I can do a rebuild on a devel-xorg system once you did your pushing.
You might want to name some problematic spells I should caste
beforehand (the system has only a rather narrow selection of software
centered on Audio production).

But, then ... I guess we need some voices on this. Remko's initial plan
included pushing current test as new stable and then start merging
things. I _suppose_ the following stable should feature everything
that's in the current development branches. I think focussing testing
on the hot new stuff all together in xorg-devel could work. Getting
current test out as stable-rc and then starting to merge pieces to test
directly would also work. But honestly, I will give a grimoire with new
Xorg more testing. The machines I have sitting around idle for that
purpose run devel-xorg grimoire.

Alrighty then,

Thomas

PS: Anyone running fancy multi-monitor setups with xrandr? My bastard
setup of onboard Radeon and nVidia Quadro NVS works in Zaphod mode, but
with xrandr kills graphics when leaving Xorg. I now observe the same on
another machine with a Radeon card with 3 outputs. Rotating displays
seems to be triggering that.
