We don't /technically/ provide pre-compiled binaries, but as you say, Gentoo
likely don't, either, so why don't we submit Source Mage anyway? (Even if
Gentoo do make binaries, I believe most users would still compile.) I would,
but I'm too busy to look at kde.org.
