From the bug:
"I installed 0.9.6.3 iso and in the process of updating to stable-0.8
managed to break bash."

Note, 0.8. So this is way preexisting; it's not new in this -rc and should
not be treated as gating for this release.

I'm not going to approve this myself because I don't want to see the
release held back for the freeze timer to restart over something this
isolated and minor. If you think it has to be in this release, see if one
of the others will approve it.

When did this show up? In this -rc? It sounds like it would have been
long preexisting.


We really must get away from only working the release bugs at or after the
deadline. It's fine people want a break, but that should come after the
freeze date, while the automated rebuilds and such are happening, not
during the release work window.
