Short Term:
I don't see a reason to have both VOYEUR and VIEW_REPORTS on at once, at
least for the compile log report. People may want the install log report
after a compile.
It feels to me mostly like it's there to advertise itself, so that if
people want to turn off VOYEUR they will still realize they can view
reports after the fact. The way we handle compile logs is a pretty huge
feature for us, so there is some advantage in this, the question is if that
outweighs a lot of people wanting to turn it off.
I think it's probably safe to turn it off by default.
Long Term:
In the "more work to do" area, I'd like to see these turned into a multi
select option instead of a couple of booleans:
View Compile Log:
[ ] Realtime
[ ] On cast success
[ ] On cast error
[ ] Prompt
I don't agree that 'on error' doesn't make sense in case someone is away
and misses it; all of these assume someone is watching the compile progress
in some context, leave that up to them.
There is an issue here with how to handle viewing the install log
consistently since "Prompt" is the only behavior we have right now for it.
"On error" doesn't make sense for it. "On cast success" might, if we
really think anyone wants to see it always.
