I'm planing on trying to get a FreeBSD based
Source Mage going...

If anyone is interested lemme know.

I'm basing it off 7-current.

The way I'll procede atm is:
Install it in xen. Get sorcery on it. Try out sorcery with the
BSD userland stuff to see how much it can be kept though I expect
next to none other than bsd make.

It'll need to use BSDs own libc which I think shouldn't be much of
a problem.

I'd like to get rid of most of BSD userland and replace it with
GNU userland and maybe have spells for BSD userland stuff.

Once I have sorcery working in FreeBSD I'll cast basesystem and
along the way remove any cruft from the original install.

Once that's done I'll do basic bsd libc and bsd kernel spells
and then try that in a separate xen to see how it runs.

If anyone has suggestions or anything else constructive to contribute
please do so... And yes I am insane ;)
