I was working on fixing this bug:

and while trying to learn a little bit about locate/updatedb, I saw that
quite a few distributions are using slocate
http://www.geekreview.org/slocate/ vice the version from findutils.

Is this something we should look at?  Probably good reasons for using
the version that we are now.  I really don't know much about this, but
secure always sounds good.:)  We would have to modify findutils to not
build locate, but I don't think it is too hard.
