I totally agree, its not really a package management feature, its a
cluster or IT infrastructure management tool.

Theres a wealth of both free and proprietary stuff for this out there
for this thats far more complete. Cabal is just a glorified wrapper over
running ssh commands on multiple machines.

Its low cost for us to keep it around though, either in sorcery or in a
spell, and if people want to pick it up and run with it then they can. But
I agree, that we should put as little 'official' effort/resources into
it as possible given that there are other, better tools out there for this.
