Hi, I'm doing this via email because I have so little free time I could never spend the time on IRC needed. But I have an AMD64 system that I'm running in 32bit mode. I've been fighting with the obviously buggy 2.6.11.x kernels and my VIA sata drives, but I finally got a working 2.6.10 kernel that I patched with the grsecurity patch set on low security. So I ran a sorcery rebuild to make sure of the grsecurity patch compatibility. There were several problems, not the least of which was gcc which failed due to: gcc -c -g -DIN_GCC -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -pedantic
-Wno-long-long -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I/usr/src/gcc-3.4.3/gcc -I/usr/src/gcc-3.4.3/gcc/. -I/usr/src/gcc-3.4.3/gcc/../include /usr/src/gcc-3.4.3/gcc/local-alloc.c -o local-alloc.o
/usr/src/gcc-3.4.3/gcc/local-alloc.c:2436: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault

I'm using devel sorcery branch, version:20050415 and the test grimore. I also noticed this error during the recast of net-tools right after asking Enable init script network? [y]: /var/lib/sorcery/modules/libmisc: line 592: 11429 Done echo " PPP "
29171 Segmentation fault | grep -qE -e "[[:space:]]AFASH[[:space:]]"

In any case my gaze installed output is now down to only 52 applications! And though I'm still in an xfce4 session running many applications most of them are not listed including xorg. But now cast xorg fails: Failed to unpack /var/cache/sorcery/xorg-6.8.2-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.bz2
Resurrect failed for spell: xorg version 6.8.2
though I do have /var/cache/sorcery/xorg-6.8.2-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.bz2

Should I assume that the gcc compile error is due to the grsecruity kernel patch? If I try to boot into a different kernel, what would be the easiest way to restore all the spells that I had installed (~=500) that are still in /var/cache/sorcery? And I already tried cast -c --no-opts gcc which also seg faults.
Thanks,
Jackson
