I've been getting this problem for a while now.

When I do a sorcery update I get:
"You may at this point want to ^C and run cleanse
yourself manually. This is safer but requires you
to perform some commands manually at the end."

So I CTRL-C and go on and update sorcery. This however deletes /var/lib/sorcery/modules and fails to copy the new /var/lib/sorcery/modules and so the gaze, cast, summon, etc... commands fail.

I manually untar the sorcery.ta.bz2 and copy the new /var/lib/sorcery/modules in place and all is fine.

I thought it was just me. I have never got cleanse to work properly.

Thats strange, I dont get that. The problem is however that subroutines
didnt get the execute bit and so gaze (and probably everything else)
is not able to load the libraries. What sorcery did you upgrade from?

Hi!

I'm getting those every time I'm running a sorcery command as non-root:
$ gaze BUILD mozilla
/usr/sbin/gaze: line 177: /var/lib/sorcery/subroutines: Permission denied
/usr/sbin/gaze: line 21: color: command not found
/usr/sbin/gaze: line 180: optimize: command not found
/usr/sbin/gaze: line 1: installed_version: command not found
/usr/sbin/gaze: line 1: codex_find_spell_by_name: command not found

Just updated to latest devel.
Thanks,

Sergey.
