A natural extension to that would be versioned sorcery installs.
running sorcery update <X.X.X>
so if a bug is introduced that a user can't work around they can easily
downgrade to the version that last worked for them.
I personally wasted a lot of time earlier this year trying to discuss and
help
solve bugs in stable sorcery, if it had been an option then I would have used
it and been able to continue my work.
